well first off the microphone stand works great with my AT2020 XLR. plus it is way better than my old one it would bang if you tried to move it in front of you. but this one much more sturdy than old with the mini clamp but with this one, the octagon holder works so much better and it has a headphone holder and a cable holder plus it does not come with an xlr cable
