Broadcast infrastructure specialist Axon Digital Design will be demonstrating Neuron, the world’s first Network Attached Processor (NAP), which addresses the needs of complex IP and hybrid broadcast environments. Developed to address the needs of complex IP and hybrid environments, this next generation signal processing platform packs a powerful punch to support 200 Gb/s and 64 channels or 16 UHD channels in a single rack unit. Whether deployed as extremely efficient ‘modular glue’ in a pure native IP infrastructure or to seamlessly bridge legacy SDI technology into an IP environment, Neuron’s impressive FGPA-based processing power provides guaranteed bandwidth performance to deliver complex Ultra HD and 8K productions. Axon will also demo its Cerebrum control and monitoring platform, which simplifies complex workflows by seamlessly integrating and controlling a variety of technologies.
The world of cloud-based playout will be taken care of by Coral Bay with demos of its cost effective software-based playout solutions that can be hosted on bare metal, virtual machines or in public clouds such as AWS, Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure. The ~Coral Bay software provides an automation control interface as well as a video pipeline, delivering video and audio in a variety of output formats.
Enensys will be highlighting their innovative and dense range of transport stream monitoring solutions that enable automatic switch redundancy of ASI and IP feeds to secure the delivery of any streams and ensuring seamless switching, product and system redundancy, multi-link redundancy and video and radio over IP delivery.
FileCatalyst is an Emmy® award-winning pioneer in managed file transfers and a world leading accelerated file transfer solution. At METexpo the company will be demonstrating FileCatalyst Direct, its suite of server and client applications that use FileCatalyst’s patented UDP-based protocol to transfer files at speeds of up to 10 Gbps. Global organisations use FileCatalyst to solve issues related to file transfer including content distribution, file sharing, and offsite backups.
MagnaTech360 and Kandao will be demonstrating the very latest in 360 camera solutions including QooCam, the first-ever stereo and 360 camera. Alongside QooCam will be Obsidian Go, designed to be the first professional 3D 360-degree camera for VR beginners or experienced innovative content creators and Obsidian R the 360 camera that can generate 8K horizontal and vertical resolution 3D 360 images with crisp and vivid details.
Masstech will also be on the Magna stand with its cutting edge archive, media management and workflow innovations. The company will showcase how media organisations can seamlessly integrate the cloud into their operations, maximise their content’s value, and move media files more easily between production, distribution and archive processes. For media businesses looking to minimise on-premises equipment, all Masstech media asset management, workflow and archive solutions can now be hosted in the Cloud. Customers can choose to deploy the MassStore technology platform or individual components in public or private clouds, or locally on 100% virtualised or physical systems.
Mellanox will be demonstrating their SMPTE ST 2110 over Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) infrastructure solution. Understanding that the need to gain network and server efficiencies is paramount to every IT solution, by combining key technologies from the adapter and switch, Mellanox can accelerate networks and reduce CPU utilisation for increased scalability and the highest efficiency.
Nevion is highlighting its capabilities as “architects of virtualised media production”. They will be sharing details of how the company has helped broadcasters and service providers across the world with solutions for IP in the facilities, contribution, remote production and DTT, built on its flagship products, VideoIPath (orchestration and SDN control) and Virtuoso (software defined media node).
RTS will demonstrate its ODIN OMNEO digital intercom matrix. The latest in an ongoing program of IP-focused products, including the ROAMEO DECT-based wireless system and KP-Series keypanels, ODIN is a major addition to the RTS portfolio. ODIN condenses decades of experience and the latest RTS innovations into a compact single rack unit package that offers state-of-the-art IP technology along with analogue connectivity. Where previous-generation digital matrix products were significantly larger and more costly to own and operate, ODIN’s feature set and form factor are designed to make a professional matrix solution more accessible and easier to use than ever before, opening up the benefits of IP-based communications for wide range of new markets and users of all levels.
Last but by no means least, TAG Vs will be demonstrating its MCM-9000 software-based, ‘all IP’ monitoring and multiviewing platform. The MCM-9000 features SMPTE ST- 2022-6/7 and ST-2110-10/20/21/30/31/40 support, has 2110-20 UHD inputs and 2110-21 UHD with a two frame latency output. It also boasts MPEG TS compressed delivery formats, and JPEG2000 TR-01 support. There’s also OTT- HLS and MPEG-DASH multiple profiles monitoring and transport layer and baseband monitoring. Alongside these features are full ETR 290 and ATSC user configurable real time analysis, UHD or HD MPEG TS/2022-6/2110 Mosaic output with rich data and overlay alarms, simultaneous HLS Mosaic output for mobile devices, SNMP, Syslog, email alerts and comprehensive JSON API – all fully managed by TAG-NMS.
