New Foxtel Experience updates commence for iQ3

Foxtel today confirmed the recently released New Foxtel Experience has completed its roll out
to iQ4 set top boxes and updates to the first 50,000 iQ3 set top boxes will commence tonight
with all iQ3 updates anticipated to be completed by mid-November.

The New Foxtel Experience provides customers with iQ3 and iQ4 set top boxes a completely
redesigned user experience bringing together the best of TV and on demand, all in one place.
Initial feedback from iQ4 customers has been very positive with users reporting the New
Foxtel Experience has made finding their favourite content and discovering new content
much easier. They are also welcoming the opportunity to stream seamlessly the on demand
content included in their Foxtel plan and alongside Netflix1 shows, all in one place.

Foxtel Chief Strategy and Product Officer Alice Mascia said: “The New Foxtel Experience has
opened up an incredible new way for our customers to enjoy the best entertainment. We’re
excited to now be underway with iQ3 installations and upgrades so even more Australians can
experience Foxtel like never before.

“By the time iQ3 updates are completed in November, more than 1.1 million of our advanced
set top boxes in Australian homes will have been updated allowing customers to enjoy
Australia’s best TV and on demand all in one place, including Foxtel’s 16,000 hours of on
demand programming.

“With the completion of the iQ3 updates in November, we will be adding more apps to the New
Foxtel Experience with ABC iView and the SBS On Demand reinforcing Foxtel as the home of
the world’s best content.”

Foxtel customers do not need to do anything to activate the New Foxtel Experience.
Software updates will occur automatically through their Foxtel connection. The New Foxtel
Experience on iQ3 is available immediately for new customers having commenced with
installations occurring from Thursday, 10 October.
