Season 10 kicks off with a very special 100th Episode by selling a home to help the homeless
To celebrate Selling Houses Australia’s milestone 100th episode, and to mark the start of its 10th season, the team will be helping one of the country’s most loved charities – the Salvation Army
What could be more apt than a 100 year old house for the 100th episode? The Salvos have owned a property in one of Sydney’s hottest real estate areas since the 1930s. Over the decades, the Federation-style house in the inner west has been home to several Salvation Army officers and their families. The charity has decided to sell the house to raise much-needed funds for their homeless services – trouble is time has taken its toll on a building which is really showing its age. Enter Andrew Winter, Shaynna Blaze and Charlie Albone! Can the A-team help it reach its potential in the booming Sydney property market?
With profits going back to the Salvation Army, all eyes will be on the auction hammer which will fall just days before the episode goes to air. Joining prospective bidders for the newly-renovated house will be the SHA team, previous tenants of the property, recipients of the Salvation Army’s tireless work with the homeless and the entire inner west street – in what is sure to be street party like no other.
Real estate expert and host Andrew Winter says, “What better way of celebrating a TV milestone than giving something back to the community –the Salvation Army is one remarkable charity that does exactly that. The 100th episode is far more than a little celebration; it is a chance for us all to be reminded of the work these guys do, often in very challenging circumstances. The stories, their history and the classic Aussie home we focus on, will not only raise money for the Salvos but it will be a unique and incredible way to celebrate 100 episodes!”
He continues, “10 years, can that be possible? Obviously I was only 28 when season 1 was commissioned, but more important is how amazing and lucky we are that the show keeps going. It’s all because of the incredible support and loyalty of the Aussie viewing public.”
A decade is a real achievement, and over the years the team has travelled all over Australia performing incredible makeovers for desperate vendors. This series we’re heading to Far North QLD, an island off the SA coast, a dairy farm in rural Victoria and our first property in Tassie.
“We’d like to say a huge thank you to Foxtel, Lifestyle and all involved in Production for making a show not only watched here, but in many other countries in the world!” Andrew says.
Lifestyle is offering 25 lucky viewers a double-pass to the 100th episode auction in Sydney’s inner west. To enter, head to lifestyle.com.au/sellinghouses. Comp opens on Wednesday 25/01/17 at 9am AEDT.

Foxtel Movies are excited to bring the five hit movies to the small screen in support of the theatrical release of the latest film in the series, Resident Evil: Final Chapter on January 26, as well as the release of the Sony’s new virtual reality video game, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, on January 24.
The pop-up channel follows on from Foxtel Movies’ enormously successful pop-up channels in 2016, including the Star Wars, Harry Potter, Fast and Furious and 12 Days of Christmas pop-ups.
More information on the five movies airing on the Resident Evil pop-up channel is as follows:
Resident Evil (2002)
Something rotten is brewing beneath the industrial mecca known as Raccoon City. Unknown to its millions of residents, a huge underground bioengineering facility known as The Hive has accidentally unleashed the deadly and mutating T-virus, killing all of its employees. To contain the leak, the governing supercomputer, Red Queen, has sealed all entrances and exits. Now a team of highly-trained super commandos including Rain (Michelle Rodriguez – The Fast and the Furious, Girlfight), Alice (Milla Jovovich – The Fifth Element) and Matt (Eric Mabius – Cruel Intentions) must race to penetrate The Hive in order to isolate the T-virus before it overwhelms humanity. To do so, they must get past the Red Queen’s deadly defenses, face the flesh-eating undead employees, fight killer mutant dogs and battle The Licker, a genetically mutated savage beast whose strength increases with each of its slain victims
Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004)
After narrowly escaping the horrors of the underground Hive facility, Alice (Milla Jovovich) is quickly thrust back into a war raging above ground between the living and the Undead. As the city is locked down under quarantine, Alice joins a small band of elite soldiers, led by Valentine (Sienna Guillory, Love, Actually) and Carlos (Oded Fehr, The Mummy Returns), enlisted to rescue the missing daughter of Dr. Ashford, the creator of the mutating T-virus. It’s a heart-pounding race against time as the group faces off against hordes of blood- thirsty zombies, stealthy Lickers, mutant canines and the most sinister foe yet. Written and produced by the visionary director of Resident Evil, Paul W. S. Anderson (Alien vs. Predator) and directed by Alexander Witt, Resident Evil: Apocalypse is a superior sci-fi suspense sequel
Resident Evil: Extinction (2007)
Milla Jovovich is back to kill more zombies in the third chapter of the hit Resident Evil franchise! An action/horror film filled with huge special effects and edge-of-your-seat terror! Survivors of the Raccoon City catastrophe travel across the Nevada desert, hoping to make it to Alaska. Alice (Jovovich) joins the caravan and their fight against the evil Umbrella Corp
Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010)
The fourth installment of the hugely successful “Resident Evil” franchise, “Resident Evil: Afterlife” is again based on the wildly popular video game series. In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, Alice (Milla Jovovich), continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead takes them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun by thousands of Undead – and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap
Resident Evil: Retribution (2012)
The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race’s last and only hope, Alice (Milla Jovovich), awakens in the heart of Umbrella’s most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington DC, and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun

FIRST ON FOX8 IN FEBRUARY
THE HOTTEST NEW US SHOWS
This February, FOX8 will be the exclusive home for the hottest new shows from the US: crime drama series APB, hit comedy series, The Mick and the biggest music awards show on earth, The Grammy Awards.
APB, the new crime drama starring Australia’s own Daniel Macpherson, will premiere on Thursday, February 16 at 7.30pm; the new half hour prime time comedy The Mick, which debuted to over ten million viewers in the US, will premiere on Sunday February 26 at 7.30pm, and the most anticipated music awards show in the world, The Grammy Awards, will be live from midday on Tuesday February 13.
The Mick brings a whole new meaning to the term ‘dysfunctional family’. Mickey, an irresponsible drifter played by Caitlin Olson, visits her estranged sister and billionaire brother-in-law in search of a free handout. But when they flee the country to avoid federal fraud charges, leaving Mickey with everything, she quickly learns nothing comes for free, because ‘everything’ includes guardianship of her sister’s three ill-mannered children: 18-year-old Sabrina (played by Sophia Black D’Elia), 13-year-old future Republican Chip (played by Thomas Barbusca) and fragile 7-year-old nerd Ben (played by Jack Stanton). Though motherhood was never in her plans, Mickey soon discovers a little responsibility never hurt anybody.
The new drama APB takes a fresh approach on the crime genre, involving the use of apps and technology to solve crime. Inspired by a true story covered in The New York Times article, “Who Runs the Streets of New Orleans?,” APB explores what happens when an enigmatic tech billionaire (played by Justin Kirk) makes a deal with a bankrupt city to run a privately owned and operated police force. Empowering citizens with a mobile app to report crimes and arming police officers with cutting-edge technology and the latest weapons, his vision builds a precinct that is better and faster than ever before.
Along with the two new US series, FOX8 will telecast the biggest awards show of the year – The Grammy Awards. The 59th Annual Grammy Awards, hosted by James Corden of ‘The Late Late Show’, will be broadcast live from the Staples Centre in Los Angeles on Tuesday February 13 at midday, with a prime time encore at 8.30pm.
The final season of Grimm will also premiere on FOX8 on Friday, February 10 at 8.30pm.
