Australia’s favourite youth channel, Channel [V] launches a new brand direction for 2015 today. The new Channel [V] is about music and all things addictive. It gives AAA access to the artists the audience love with exclusive interviews, music news and unparalleled festival coverage. Also Channel [V] will serve up live shows that go anywhere, anytime plus a whole bunch of new ‘music lifestyle’ content.
It all starts today with a hot new look on air and the annoucement of three fresh new faces joining the Channel [V] crew, who are killing it in their respective fields – The Used frontman Bert McCracken, international model Bambi Northwood-Blyth and DJ Generik (Tyson O’Brien). These new presenters bring their unique experience and expertise to the wide range of youth subcultures represented across the channel. Together with Danny Clayton, Carissa Walford and Marty Smiley, the new line-up has different facets of youth culture covered, keeping the Channel [V] audience across everything they need to know and the places they need to be.

Commemorating their 20th anniversary as a band, the Foo Fighters have released Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways, a documentary series created and directed by Dave Grohl.
Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways sees the band travel to eight legendary studios in eight different American cities, to write and record their latest album, Sonic Highways. Over the eight episodes the band will also interview famous artists who have previously recorded at the respective studios.
Grohl describes the show as a “love letter to the history of American Music” as it features music legends ranging from punk icon Ian MacKaye to the most recognised artists in country music Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton. Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways gives a raw insight into the experiences, interviews and personalities that became part of the process of creating the band’s eighth studio album.
Raking in 11 Grammy Awards and selling over 25 million records worldwide, the “Fooies” continue to dominate the rock ‘n’ roll music scene as one of the world’s biggest bands. Previously they have released the hugely successful rockumentary Foo Fighters: Back and Forth in 2011.
Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways premieres from Monday to Thursday at 8pm from February 16 only on Channel [V].

Foxtel and CMC (Country Music Channel), Australia’s only destination for Country Music, today announced a strategic partnership with Tourism and Events Queensland to bring the CMC Music Awards to Queensland for the next three years.
CMC Music Awards, now in its fifth year, allows fans the opportunity to vote for their favourite Australian Country music artists and will be held at Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) in Brisbane on Thursday March 12 and telecast Thursday, March 19 at 8pm on CMC and Saturday, March 28 at 9.30pm on FOX8.
The announcement follows on from Tourism and Events Queensland securing the largest international Country Music festival in the Southern Hemisphere, CMC Rocks, which for the first time moves to Ipswich, Queensland and continues to be televised on CMC in April.
Tourism and Events Queensland CEO, Leanne Coddington, said: “The CMC Music Awards will attract Country music’s biggest names to the State in March 2015. The profile of the CMC Music Awards, in addition to CMC Rocks Queensland, will position Queensland as the new home of Country music in Australia.”

The 5th Annual CMC Music Awards 2015 will be held at QPAC, Thursday March 12 followed by CMC Rocks QLD from March 13-15 at Willowbank Raceway.
