Foxtel announced today it will screen a new Season 6 marathon of hit US series Orange is the New Black on showcase – the same day as the US.

Starting from 5:01pm on Friday July 27, Foxtel subscribers can lock it down and do a little more time with the ladies of Litchfield.

Every episode of the new season will play out on Foxtel’s showcase channel from 5:01pm and will then be available to stream via Foxtel On Demand following the live airing, enabling fans to binge the entire new season back-to-back.
The outrageous, award-winning and critically-acclaimed series from EmmyⓇ Award winner Jenji Kohan stars Taylor Schilling, Uzo Aduba, Laura Prepon, Kate Mulgrew, Natasha Lyonne, Laverne Cox, Michael Harney, Danielle Brooks, Taryn Manning, Selenis Leyva, Yael Stone, Nick Sandow, Lea DeLaria, Jackie Cruz, Elizabeth Rodriguez, and Adrienne Moore.

Following the Season 5 riot cliffhanger, 10 of Litchfield’s finest, including Alex, Piper and Nicky are bunkered into Frieder’s cell that has just been broken into by the CERT officers, while the rest of the inmates were loaded into buses and heading to new prisons.

Orange is the New Black has been nominated for 106 awards and won 43 across many categories at the Primetime Emmy Awards, Golden Globes, BAFTA Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards, Critics Choice Television Awards and many more. Produced by Lionsgate Television the series has already been renewed through to season 7.
