Microsoft Drops Xbox LIVE Gold requirement for Foxtel Play* subscribers

Now even more Australian Xbox 360 fans can access a Foxtel Play subscription via their console

What: From today Xbox 360 users no longer need a paid Xbox LIVE Gold Membership to access their Foxtel Play subscription

How: Foxtel Play enables subscribers to choose where and when to be entertained. Foxtel Play streams TV over the internet, and offers great content across a range of different devices whether you’re enjoying Live TV or catching up on a TV episode or movie on demand. Foxtel Play works with all models of the Xbox 360 and requires an internet connection with a speed of at least 3.0 Mbps to stream content. New customers can access a 14 day free* trial.

Foxtel Play packages feature over 45 live channels including Fox Sports 1, 2 and 3, Foxtel Movie channels, showcase, FOX8, Arena, Lifestyle, History, Discovery, A&E, National Geographic, UKTV, FX, SoHo, MTV, Universal Channel, ESPN, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and Disney Channel. Foxtel Play is a great way to catch the latest hit programs like Game of Thrones, Wentworth and starting 26 June, Falling Skies season 4.

With no lock-in contract and no installation costs, subscribers can stop and start their subscription month-to-month, to suit their circumstances or viewing choices.
