Foxtel has scored nine nominations for this year’s TV Week Logie Awards, including five for Drama, after the shortlist for the glamorous awards night was announced in Melbourne yesterday.

SoHo’s critically acclaimed drama series WENTWORTH scored three nominations for its second season on air: Most Outstanding Drama Series; Most Outstanding Actress – Danielle Cormack; and Most Outstanding Actress – Nicole da Silva. The third season premieres on SoHo on April 7.

The deeply confronting 6-part drama DEVIL’S PLAYGROUND scored two nods – Most Outstanding Miniseries or Telemovie; and Most Outstanding Actor – John Noble for his portrayal of Bishop John McNally.

The LifeStyle Channel has two of its highest rating series up for Most Popular Lifestyle Program – GRAND DESIGNS AUSTRALIA and SELLING HOUSES.

The History Channel’s COAST AUSTRALIA, which follows historian and archaeologist Neil Oliver as he visits the spectacular coastlines of Australia, has been nominated for Most Outstanding Factual Program.

Rounding out Foxtel’s nominations is SKY NEWS with its “What is Metadata” news report, featuring Political Editor David Speers’ incredible interview with Attorney General George Brandis, up for Most Outstanding News Coverage.
