Chromecast the most popular way to view Presto’s blockbuster hits; Free trial Presto subscription offer set to end on 31 August 2014

Presto, Australia’s premier entertainment streaming service, today announced that Google Chromecast has taken the lead as Australia’s favourite way to enjoy Presto’s blockbuster movie library. More than 20 percent of Presto views have been via Chromecast since Presto’s arrival on the device in July this year.

As an official Chromecast launch partner, Presto is offering a special one month free Presto subscription to any customer who purchased a Chromecast device in Australia since they were launched on 28 May 2014. However, time is moving quickly and this special offer ends 31 August 2014.

On 17 August 2014, Presto unveiled its new ‘all-you-can-eat’ flat rate subscription price of $9.99 a month with no lock-in contract*, which has seen a massive increase in traffic to the Presto site along with a big spike in Presto subscriptions.

Shaun James, Director Presto & VOD, said, “Since launching Presto on Chromecast, we’ve had loads of great feedback from people enjoying Presto on the big screen, and now, with our new, simplified pricing, we’re seeing an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response from new subscribers. We’re thrilled to be offering a free one month Presto subscription to customers who purchased a Chromecast device since its Australian launch, but wanted to remind them that this great offer ends soon.”

Presto’s blend of the most recent blockbusters and classic films offers subscribers one of the best value-for-money movie subscription streaming services anywhere, ad-break free. Presto features a regularly updated, premium collection of great films. Presto’s hit movies for August 2014 include Captain Phillips, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, Pacific Rim and We’re the Millers. New hits set to join the Presto line-up over the next few months include the 2014 Academy award winning Blue Jasmine, Thor: The Dark World, Delivery Man and The Fifth Estate, along with even more movie hits and recent favourites, including Man of Steel, Despicable Me 2 and The Hangover Part 3.

All Presto movies are ad-break-free and feature the strongest line up of subscription on demand movies, plus additional access to Presto Rental pay-per-view titles*.

Subscribers can connect to Presto in minutes and are free to come and go from the service on a monthly basis, with no lock-in contract, and without the need to buy through a basic tier.
