Country Music Channel (CMC) is excited to announce that Country Music’s Party of the Year®, THE 50TH ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC® AWARDS, will broadcast LIVE in Australia on Monday April 20 from 10am, only on CMC.

CMC is proud to be the only non North American territory to air The 50th Academy of Country Music® Awards direct from the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. ACM Award winners Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan will return to co-host.

The Academy of Country Music and dick clark productions have announced the all-star artists who will take the stage at the 50th Academy of Country Music Awards. The epic line-up for the Academy’s golden anniversary show includes country icons Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Reba, Blake Shelton, George Strait, Keith Urban, Florida Georgia Line, plus Sam Hunt, Thomas Rhett and Cole Swindell.

Also performing are Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, Brooks & Dunn, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Rascal Flatts, plus special duets by Christina Aguilera with surprise artists as well as Nick Jonas with Dan + Shay have all been added to this year’s incredible lineup. Brooks & Dunn will take the stage for a historic reunion in honor of the Academy’s golden anniversary, marking their first televised performance together since 2010.

Exclusive to the 50th ACM Awards, reigning Entertainer of the Year and Artist of the Decade, George Strait, will debut new music. Also, Reba will be returning to the ACM Awards to perform for the first time in five years on the telecast.

The Academy of Country Music and dick clark productions have announced that Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Reba, George Strait, Taylor Swift, and Brooks & Dunn will be honored with the prestigious 50th Anniversary Milestone Award commemorating their groundbreaking career achievements in ACM Awards history.

The Academy of Country Music 50th Anniversary Milestone Award recognises artists that have advanced the popularity and acceptance of country music by accomplishing milestones unique to the Academy of Country Music, voted on by the ACM Board of Directors.

“The history of the ACM Awards and country music would not be the same without the incredible achievements by these seven superstars,” said Bob Romeo, CEO for the Academy of Country Music.”

This year Miranda Lambert leads the ACM Awards with eight (8) nominations. Dierks Bentley follows with seven (7) nominations, while Florida Georgia Line received five (5) nominations, and Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, as well as Eric Church each earned four (4) nominations. Jason Aldean was nominated for three (3) awards, Blake Shelton received two (2) nominations, Garth Brooks is nominated for Entertainer of the Year and Keith Urban received a nomination in the Video of the Year category. This year’s ACM New Artist of the Year Presented By Kohl’s nominees include Sam Hunt, Thomas Rhett and Cole Swindell.
