Streaming on Foxtel Anytime in September
Super hero series Supergirl s.1 and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow s.1 take flight, plus Mr. Robot s.1-2 and Keeping up with the Kardashians s.12; and ultra-blockbuster films Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Pt. 2, and more
Foxtel today announced the September line up of complete seasons that will join the hit shows already streaming on Foxtel Anytime^. In the lead up to their second season premieres, Supergirl season 1 and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season 1 will provide the perfect chance to catch up on the action.
In a modern twist on the classic story, Supergirl introduces us to Kara Danvers, aka Kara Zor-El, cousin of Superman (Melissa Benoist) who, at 12 years old, also escaped doom on planet Krypton to find protection on Earth. Raised by her adoptive family, the Danvers, Kara hides her powers until adulthood, when she comes into her own. As National City’s newest superhero, Kara finds herself juggling a complex personal life with new found responsibilities and very human relationships.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow follows a ragtag group of superheroes (and villains) who, after witnessing a catastrophic vision of Earth’s future, is brought together as an unlikely force destined to reroute the course of future history in order to save the planet.
Also joining Foxtel Anytime in September is season 2 of the Golden Globe Award-winning drama Mr. Robot. The series that became one of the most talked about shows on TV shadows Elliot (Rami Malek, The Pacific), a computer programmer working as a cyber-security engineer by day and a vigilante hacker by night, who finds himself at a crossroads when a mysterious leader (Christian Slater) of a hacker group recruits him to destroy the firm he’s paid to protect. Season 2 picks up one month after the events of season 1’s dramatic conclusion that left audiences stunned. New episodes of season 2 arrive in September alongside season 1 already streaming on Foxtel Anytime.
Reality drama is never in short supply with Keeping up with the Kardashians, the reality series that looks in on the personal and professional lives of the Kardashian-Jenner brood. New episodes from season 12 continue to arrive on Foxtel Anytime through September to bring us up to speed on the exploits of Kim, Kourtney and Khloé and their friends and family.
Foxtel Anytime’s key movies in September include the latest instalment of the most famous sci-fi saga ever, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, along with all films from the Star Wars franchise, rekindling the Jedi spirit. The final episode of the dystopian thriller The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 also joins the movie line up, along with the next chapter of the action-filled James Bond series, Spectre, plus Sylvester Stallone brings Rocky back to train the son of his former opponent and friend in Creed.
